Philosophy of education is the application of philosophical methods to the theory and practice of education or the application of philosophical principles to the issues and problems of education.
The scope of philosophy of education is confined to the field of education.
It is the philosophy in education.It is primarily concerned with the problems of education.Which are -
1. Interpretation of human nature, the world and the universe and their relation to man.
2. Interpretation of aims and ideas of education.
3. The relationship of the various components of the system of education.
4. Relationship of the various areas of national life: (economic system, political order, social progress etc.
5. Educational values.
6. Theory of knowledge and its relationship to education.
